Our Scientific Activities

1. Annual Conference

A two-day conference featuring scientific presentations and the annual meeting of CIRRELT members. It strengthens the sense of belonging to CIRRELT, fosters networking among partner institutions, develops synergies between areas of expertise and supports the regular review of the scientific program.

2. International Conferences

Internationally renowned conferences bringing together leading researchers around important themes, fostering new collaborations, knowledge exchange and innovative research. CIRRELT notably organizes the Optimization Days in alternation with GERAD.

3. Thematic Research Workshops

Three to four workshops each year bringing together CIRRELT members and external researchers around a theme from the scientific program. Less formal than conferences, they provide opportunities to present ongoing research and stimulate collaboration.

4. Seminars

A series of weekly interuniversity seminars featuring presentations by CIRRELT researchers, visiting researchers and advanced students. They are held across partner universities and promote the exchange of high-level scientific knowledge.

5. Training and Knowledge Transfer Workshops

Workshops in the form of mini-conferences or Summer Schools, ranging from half a day to several days, led by recognized experts. These highly specialized activities contribute to the training of students, researchers and industry partners.

6. Visiting Researchers and Postdoctoral Fellows

CIRRELT welcomes postdoctoral fellows and visiting researchers for stays ranging from a few weeks to several months. These visits foster exchanges, strengthen collaborations and enrich the Centre’s scientific community.

Training and the Next Generation

Although CIRRELT is not directly responsible for teaching programs, the training of the next generation and highly qualified personnel is a fundamental part of its mission.

Access and Resources

The Centre provides students with office space in Montreal and Quebec City, as well as access to a computing network comprising more than 200 computers, servers and workstations.

Activities Dedicated to Students

Multidisciplinary integration courses, study days, poster sessions and luncheon seminars provide valuable opportunities for students to present their work and interact with the scientific community.

Visibility and Outreach

The Optimization Days provide students with an important opportunity to present their research to an international scientific audience, offering a unique learning experience made possible through the Centre’s support.
